CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)

WHY IS CTE IMPORTANT?

Career Technical Education is a non traditional route to learning academic subject matter, employability skills and educational pathways to explore career options and interests through contextual learning. Most, if not all CTE courses incorporate traditional course work in addition to hands on experience on equipment or within a lab setting. Depending on the career path chosen, CTE courses last 1-2 years before completion.

BENEFITS TO CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION

CTE programs involve multiyear sequence of courses integrating core academic knowledge with technical and occupational hands on knowledge. CTE courses provide adults with a pathway to post-secondary education and careers.
