CTE (CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION)

Information Technology-IT Proficiency Testing (Yearly) 

Location: Trinity County Office of Education

We offer tests in 86+ Information Technology (IT) areas, such as Adobe, C++, CISCO, CITRIX, Microsoft, and Oracle, to name a few. We can offer these IT exams at our office and through our mobile test lab.

Introduction to Welding (August 17, 2017 to December 7, 2017)

Location: Red Bluff High School

This introductory course will provide hands on experience plus classroom instruction to prepare adults (18+) for ENTRY LEVEL Welding employment with companies such as Lentec, Smith Ranches, Pneumatic Conveying Manufacturing, Waste Management, QRC, Sierra Pacific, Industrial Welding, Driscoll Strawberries, etc.

Welding/Metal Shop Skills (Date TBD- Please call to be put on waiting list for next class)

Location: Corning High School

This FREE introductory class will teach students about job seeking strategies, self-marketing techniques and basic workplace skills. Students will also learn the basic fundamentals of three welding processes: SMAW (stick welding), GMAW (mig or wire welding) and O A-W (oxygen acetylene welding). Job Skills/Forklift Operation

Location: Corning High School

This introductory course will cover job seeking strategies, self marketing techniques, and basic workplace skills. In addition, safety and technical skills for forklift operation (driving time and operation) will be covered. Machining & Forming Technology-Introductory Course (September 6, 2017 to November 15, 2017 )

Location: Red Bluff High School

This introductory course will provide hands on experience plus classroom instruction to prepare adults (18+) for ENTRY LEVEL Machinist employment with companies such as Lentec, Bell Carter, PCM, QRC, Sierra Pacific, Pactiv, Louisiana Pacific, Crain, etc. This is an 80 hour class. Students who meet all attendance and course requirements will earn a certificate of proficiency.

Advanced Machining Techniques (June 13, 2017 to August 17, 2017)

Location: Red Bluff High School

This course is an expansion of the entry level Machining & Forming Technologies course. Students will participate in hands-on experience plus classroom instruction and is designed to prepare adults (18+) for employment as Machinists with companies such as Lentec, Bell Carter, PCM, QRC, Sierra Pacific, Pactiv, Louisiana Pacific, Crain, etc. This is a 92 hour class. Students who meet all attendance and course requirements will earn a certificate of proficiency.
